What is a virtual/online course?

What is a virtual/online course?

During the coronavirus pandemic, all physical classroom courses were suspended and replaced by virtual classrooms delivered online by course providers. Dependent on the course provider you book with will depend on the platform used. Currently the delivery platforms approved by UKROEd are Microsoft Teams, Zoom and Webex. For more information on requirements please contact your chosen course provider or visit their FAQ page here FAQs | UKROEd and NDORS  under section named Accessing Your Course and Your Course Provider

The two and a half hour course will take place online using a digital platform with up to 9 clients and a Trainer.  You will need access to a device ie tablet, laptop or desktop with microphone and camera with reliable internet connection capable of streaming video.  Smart phones may be used however the course will be far more effective if you have a larger screen.

You can book an online virtual course regardless of location or which police force in the UK offered you a course – just follow this link to the booking site –  and choose a course provider to book online.

There is NO requirement for you to travel to a venue.
