Guide released to aid implementation of road safety schemes

The Road Safety Trust has published a new guide designed to help organisations implement road safety schemes and interventions in their local area.

For the past 10 years, the Trust has supported a variety of initiatives through grants, with funding available towards projects that meet its grant criteria. Many of these projects have developed resources which have been evidence-led and evaluated, and which are available for local authorities and other stakeholders to use, free-of-charge.

The Trust greatly encourages the uptake of these resources and has created a carefully curated collection of resources for the use of stakeholders and wider road safety sector.

Development of the guide responds to stakeholder feedback about improving how people access and use the knowledge generated through Trust-funded projects.

Available in PDF format, the document contains no fewer than 20 different resources and provides useful tips and outlines how and where they could be used.

Titled ‘Resource Hub’, it is intended as an interim guide to help practitioners make better use of the knowledge generated through Trust-funded projects, ahead of the Trust investing in a more comprehensive website and knowledge repository later this year.
