UKROEd pays tribute to Prof Alex Stedmon

Everyone at UKROEd and The Road Safety Trust is greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Prof Alex Stedmon.

Alex had been involved with UKROEd as an associate in recent years working within the Research & Development Unit and has made many valuable contributions to the development of the courses delivered under the National Drivers Offender Retraining Scheme.

He was also involved with The Road Safety Trust, and his excellent work on Project PRIME – special signs and road markings to help motorcyclists safely navigate bends – has directly contributed to the improved safety of riders across the UK and will undoubtedly save many lives in years to come.

We will continue to be a staunch advocate of his work, and for the impact that it continues to have on road safety in this country.

Alex was a highly valued colleague and friend, and a wonderful person. He will be missed by all who knew him.
