BikeSafe motorbike rider improvement scheme returns for 2026

The BikeSafe season will soon return for 2026 with availability for courses to be published on the scheme’s website later this week.
Last year UKROEd took on the governance and administration of BikeSafe – a national initiative offers motorcyclists access to post-test training with advanced police motorcyclists to equip them with additional skills designed to help them stay safe on the roads.
The first season under this new arrangement in what was BikeSafe’s 25th anniversary year was successfully completed at the start of December last year, and we now look forward to embarking on our first full season being involved with the police-led rider improvement scheme.
Dates for the new season will be become available when bookings ‘go live’ later this week on Thursday 12 February – make sure you visit www.bikesafe.co.uk to find availability for where you live.
And this year, we’re delighted to announce that the cost of BikeSafe workshops in the UK has been reduced to the lower price of £78 per person (previously £84).
What’s more, if you are lucky enough to have received a voucher code at MCL 2025, courtesy of our colleagues at National Highways, then you can receive a further discount, bringing the workshop cost to £43. Vouchers are valid for any workshop published on the UK BikeSafe website, but these must be booked by 31 March 2026 at the latest.
We’re also pleased to announce that, for the very first time, BikeSafe will be running workshops on the Isle of Man. The first workshop there will run in May – but please note, these workshops are for residents local to the Isle of Man only.
Make sure you’re keeping up to date with the latest BikeSafe news and workshop availability on social media – look for BikeSafe on Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn.
