Step up for Road Safety Week

Safety organisations are calling on road users to ‘step up’ their road safety focus as part of Brake’s Road Safety Week 2019, which takes place from November 18-24.

The week provides an ideal opportunity to boost everyone’s contribution to road safety whether they drive a vehicle, ride a bicycle or are a pedestrian,

Every 20 minutes, someone is killed or seriously injured on a British road and each of these tragedies is preventable.

This year’s safety message has two key elements: safe journeys, through the use of safety technology and healthy journeys, through the use of alternative transport.
