FAQ for Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership (LRSP) Classroom & Online Digital Courses

  • How do I contact my course provider?

Once you have booked your course, you will receive your booking confirmation email, which will include information required to attend your course, please ensure you carefully read the entire email. If you misplace the email, you can contact LRSP:

  • What should I be aware of before I attend my classroom course? (not applicable for online course attendees)

You must bring with you an acceptable form of photographic identification such as your photocard driving licence or passport. Admittance cannot be granted without correct ID, photocopies or images will not be accepted. Accepted forms of ID can be found in our terms and conditions

  • Is there parking available? (not applicable for online course attendees)

Parking is not available at the Lincoln venue (except Blue Badge holders, to book call 01522 212314), Please use suitable city centre parking. Parking is available at all other venues.

Late arrivals will not be admitted. Please allow plenty of time and plan your journey to locate your venue and park successfully before the start time of your course.

Please do not enter the venue post code in satellite navigation devices as they often send you to the incorrect destination. Please carefully plan your journey.

  • What will I need for my online digital course? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

Please ensure you have pen and paper to make notes and are in a quiet private room without disturbances or distractions. You must not switch off your webcam, leave the course or have other members of the household in the room with you (unless previously agreed). You will be required to agree to not record the course and respect the privacy of other people attending the course.

  • Which online platform is the course running on? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

The online course is delivered using the Zoom platform.  This can be accessed via a pc, laptop, tablet or smart phone. The bigger the screen, the better. Your device must have a camera and microphone in order for you, the course trainer and other participants to hear and see one another.

New to Zoom? We strongly recommend you try using Zoom before your course to familiarise yourself. Maybe ask a friend or relative to set up a meeting for you to join before your course date. The Zoom website also holds a wealth of information to help you join. ZOOM.us

  • I have booked my course, when will I receive my joining instructions and where do I find them? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

Zoom joining instructions are sent by email 48 hours prior to the course start time.  If you are unable to find the email, prior to contacting Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership, please check your junk mail and/or spam folder.

  • How do I access my course? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

Course joining details are contained in an email sent 48 hours prior to the course start time (please see point above).

You should join 15 minutes before the course starts using the joining link URL contained in the email sent 48 hours prior to the course start time. You can also join by inputting the Meeting ID and Password which is also in the email.

Alternatively, you may be able to download the Zoom app onto your device and then select ‘Join a meeting’. You will then need to input the Meeting ID and Password from your confirmation or reminder emails.

  • I’m not very technical and I am worried that I won’t be able to take my virtual/online course, what help can I get from my course provider? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

Please allow adequate time before your course date and contact Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership for assistance as we do have guides for android phone, android tablet, iPad, iPhone, Apple Mac or Windows PC, that we can email to you:

  • I’m experiencing technical difficulties connecting to the course, what can I do? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

Check you are as close as possible to your internet router. Turn off other devices that require the internet to help strengthen the signal.

Log out and back in as this may help. Ensure you are joining with video and audio on, (click allow when prompts appear).

If problems persist and you cannot successfully join the course contact LRSP.

  • Do I have to travel to a venue to complete my online course? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)

No, all online digital courses are completed at home so please do not travel to any of our venues to complete your course.

  • I can’t attend my course due to extenuating circumstances what can I do?

You must contact Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership within 72 hours of your course finish time to see if it is possible to rebook your course. Please see our terms and conditions for further information.

  • I’m late for my course and the waiting room is locked, what can I do? (not applicable for classroom course attendees)
