Gloucestershire partnership relaunches

news

Efforts are being made to breathe new life into joint working and a shared commitment to reducing serious collisions and deaths on Gloucestershire’s roads. Last month, the Gloucestershire Road Safety Partnership held a relaunch event, outlining the new ‘strategic approach’ it will be following to achieve safe, secure, social and efficient use of the roads.

Attendees were asked to sign a pledge to support the road safety partnership in their commitment to achieve Vision Zero.

Cllr Dave Norman, Gloucestershire County Council’s cabinet member for community safety and chair of the partnership, opened the event. He said: “We’ve been working behind the scenes getting this partnership together and now we have the great pleasure of launching it here today. We know we need to do more to bring down serious injuries and deaths on our roads and we have to do this together.”
