Online Courses

  • Device Requirements

You will need access to a device i.e. tablet, laptop or desktop with microphone and camera, with reliable internet connection capable of streaming video.

Smart phones may be used; however the course will be far more effective if you have a larger screen. You will need enough charge to last for the duration of the course.

  • Documentation Requirements

  • Firearms Certificate/Shotgun Licence

Failure to produce the above documentation to our Trainer, will disqualify you from attending the course and the matter will be referred back to the Police.

Please also have a pen and paper available.

  • What platform is the course running on

We currently run our iCourse for Leicestershire over the digital platform of Zoom.

  • I have booked my course, when will I receive my joining instructions and where do I find them

After booking your course you will receive a course confirmation e-mail, this details all the information you need to know for attending your iCourse, but does not contain the course joining instructions.

5 days before your course you will receive a course reminder e-mail, this e-mail contains all the joining instructions you need to access your course. If you do not receive this e-mail please check your junk or spam folders, failing that please contact our customer care team before your course date on 0116 305 8787 for further assistance.

  • I am about to take my course but cannot access it, where do I find my joining instructions

As above, your joining instructions can be found on your course reminder e-mail (sent 5 days before your course date) or on your course reminder text (sent 24 hours before your course, if you requested an SMS reminder to be sent when booking your course.)

  • I’m not very technical and I am worried that I won’t be able to take my virtual/online course, what help can I get from my course provider

Firstly, please ensure that you read your course confirmation e-mail carefully, as this contains important information about attending you course. (Please note the joining instructions are not provided in this first e-mail.)

5 days before the course you will receive your reminder e-mail which contains your iCourse joining instructions. You can use these details to practice accessing the course on Zoom. As the course is not yet live, you will just receive the following message: “Waiting for Host to start the meeting”, but it will allow you to see the joining process before the day of your course.
